Our Cattle

Herefords are amongst the oldest registered cattle breeds in the world. Their adaptability and hardiness mean they have spread worldwide. They are found in some of the most extreme environments around the world. From the icy winters of the boreal forests to the hot, arid plains of South America, Hereford cattle pass on their efficiency, longevity, docility and fertility to their offspring and are sought after by many operations to add hybrid vigor to their beef cattle herds.

We have cattle on offer year-round. Please contact us to find out more.

Our Service Bulls

We want bulls built to last, with a smoothness and build for calving ease that doesn’t sacrifice performance.

Harvie Hound Dog 57H

A power-built bull that brings some of the best of the Harvie breeding program to our herd. He works well on our bigger and mature cows.

HFF 9E Harry 2H

Long and smooth with an easy disposition, Harry is the definition of a heifer bull. Now fully mature, he is being used on our smaller framed cows to continue passing on his desirable disposition and frame.

Bar-E-L Austin 18F

With length and power and the longevity to match. He never fails to get the job done. He just keeps on ticking.

Our Cows

We are striving to build a herd of correct, efficient and maternal cows that pass their traits on to their calves.

DJPH 5Y Kingpin Brandy 1B

This cow has been producing our top calf since she joined us as a bred heifer. Her calves never fail to be built to succeed come weaning….and beyond. This cow family has produced prize-winning pens at local fairs

DJPH 5Y Kingpin Brea 24B

Another matriarch that works hard for us every year. She adds length, smoothness and maternal traits to all of her calves.

HFF 1E Grace 06G

A home-bred cow that is structurally correct and represents some of the best of the “Brandy” cow family.

Our Baldies

We take advantage of hybrid vigor by crossing Hereford and Angus cattle to produce the desirable “Black Baldie”. These cattle perform well in all aspects of the industry from feedlot to cow-calf operations, adding performance, longevity and maternal traits to any operation.

Our Corrientes

We have a small herd of Corrientes that we share with our neighbours. They are bred and raised as roping cattle that we use over the course of a few years. We typically get 3 years of roping out of this small, slow-growing breed - 1 year as calves, and 2 years as team roping cattle. We retain females for use as cows after their roping time is done. We all have to have a hobby….right?
